Andrea Pirlo to Manchester City a done deal

Manchester City have reportedly agreed to sign New York City FC midfielder Andrea Pirlo in January. The 36-year-old joined the MLS outfit – under the same ownership as the Premier League side – in the summer, making 13 appearances for the club.

According to Sky Italia journalist Fabio Caressa, a deal has already been agreed for Pirlo – who has 116 caps for Italy – to join Manuel Pellegrini’s side when the transfer window opens.

Before moving to New York, Pirlo scored 19 goals in 164 appearances for Serie A side Juventus.
