Angel rescues point for Atletico Madrid against Real Madrid
Angel Correa’s late strike canceled out Eder Militao’s goal, as Atletico Madrid held Real Madrid to a 1-1 draw in the latest Madrid derby.
Real Madrid took the lead in the 61st minute when Eder Militao scored from a set-piece after a cross from Vinicius Junior. The visitors looked strong and dominated most of the game at the Civitas Metropolitano Stadium.
However, Atletico Madrid found a way back late in the match. In the 90th minute, Angel Correa received a perfect through-ball from Javi Galan and calmly rounded Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to score, securing a point for his team.
The match had its tense moments, including a brief stoppage when objects were thrown onto the field after Real Madrid’s goal. Despite Real Madrid’s control for much of the game, Atletico’s late push earned them a valuable draw. This result marks the third consecutive Madrid derby to end in a draw.
