Another Former Black Stars Player Calls For Sulley Muntari’s Inclusion In Ghana Squad For World Cup Playoffs Vs Nigeria.

There have been calls by former Ghanian national team players and fans for the inclusion of former Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari in the black stars roster for the World Cup Playoffs Vs Nigeria .

The latest call has been made by former Leicester City Defender John Pantsil. The former black stars defence Trojan believes inviting Sulley Muntari will be a step in the right direction for Ghana’s double header vs Neighbors Nigeria.

Last week, Sulley Muntari himself refused to shut the door on a possible return to the Ghanian National Team setup in an interview with Startimes. He however admitted his focus was on doing his best for his team Hearts of Oak.

Pantsil supported the call for Muntari’s inclusion in an interview with Graphics sports when he said ” I don’t think it’s a bad idea to include Sulley in the national team because he is still young and the local league is also very competitive.”

” So if he is playing every week and based on what the supporters have seen, they think that he can help the national team, they have every right to call for him to help the team,”

“I think his experience and his dedication will also help the team and if the coach also wants to add him I think it will be fair since he is actively playing and he deserves it.”

Ghana will host Nigeria in the first leg of the 2022 World Cup Playoffs on 25th March 2022 with the return leg in Nigeria to follow four days later.

The aggregate winner of both legs will qualify for the 2022 World Cup In Qatar later in the year. Interim Super Eagles Manager Austin Eguaveon had last week announced Nigeria’s squad for the games.
