Anthony Edwards drops 41 as Wolves top Blazers
Anthony Edwards started the new NBA season with a bang scoring 41 points to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves past the Portland Trail Blazers, 118–114, on Wednesday night.
The 23-year-old star set a record for most points in a season opener, adding 7 rebounds and 5 three-pointers in an all-around performance.
Jaden McDaniels backed him up with 18 points and 3 blocks, while Rudy Gobert anchored the defense. On the other side, Jerami Grant led the Blazers with 29 points on 10-of-14 shooting, keeping Portland competitive until the final minutes.
