Anthony Joshua Determined To Fight Tyson -It Is A Fight That’s Been Brewing For A Long Time
Anthony Joshua, the Nigerian born British heavyweight boxer, is eager to face fellow Brit Tyson Fury and doesn’t want to wait any longer for the bout.
The rivalry between Joshua and Fury has been ongoing for years, with fans eagerly awaiting their clash in the ring. Despite several close calls, the fight has never materialized, but Joshua insists it needs to happen soon.
Joshua, 34, and Fury, 35, are both preparing for significant matches. Fury is set to fight Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch in December, while Joshua is gearing up for his IBF world title fight against Daniel Dubois on September 21.
Should both fighters win their respective bouts, the long-anticipated showdown between Joshua and Fury could finally be on the horizon.
In a recent interview with the BBC, Joshua expressed his impatience, stating, “It’s a fight that’s been brewing for a long time. I can’t wait until I’m 50 to fight Fury because I’d have had so many wars, I can’t sit around and wait, I’ve got to continue to fight”.
Promoter Eddie Hearn has also emphasized the importance of this potential matchup, saying, “In an ideal world, we have that fight next. The situation is a little bit out of our hands, but we would absolutely love to go into that fight”. For now, fans will have to wait and see if the paths of these two boxing titans will finally cross in the ring.
