Aribo, Balogun instrumental as the Gers march on in the SPL
Nigerian internationals, Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun were impressive as Rangers extended their unbeaten run in the Scottish Premiership to 23 games with a 2-1 victory away at Aberdeen. Rangers have now moved 22 points clear of rivals, Celtic who have played 4 games less.
Colombian striker, Alfredo Morelos scored both goals to condemn the 10 man Aberdeen side to a defeat. His second goal came from good work from Aribo down on the flank. He beat his man on the right flank and sent a ball into the box which was flicked on by Ryan Kent for Morelos to score.
Leon Balogun and his partners in the Rangers defence got breached late on by Matthew Kennedy after Aberdeen countered quickly to deny them another clean sheet on what was his 13th league appearance of the season. Rangers have now moved one step closer to securing the league title for the first time in 11 years.
