Arsenal Held to 0-0 Draw by Everton, Fail to Close Gap on Liverpool
Arsenal were unable to close the gap on Liverpool after being held to a draw by Everton at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners had won 3-0 against Monaco in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday but could not continue that strong performance in this match.
Arsenal made three changes to the team that beat Monaco, with Gabriel returning from injury. Everton made just one change after their game against Liverpool was canceled last week.
Arsenal had most of the possession and control in the first half but could not score before halftime. In the second half, they kept attacking but still couldn’t find a way past Everton’s strong defense. Despite their efforts, Arsenal had to settle for a 0-0 draw.
