Arsenal Up Osihmen Chase After Scoring Four Goals in Nigeria’s 10-0 rout of Sao Tome & Principe .

According to reports , Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has renewed interest in Napoli’s £67m rated striker Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian striker proved his worth as he scored four goals in Nigeria’s 10-0 rout of Sao Tome and Principe.

The Napoli striker was star of the show in a 10-0 thrashing of Sao Tome and Principe in Nigeria’s second 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Group A qualifier played in Agadir Morroco on Monday 13th June 2022.

In recent weeks, Osimhen has been linked with a move to Mikel Arteta’s side but the Italian clubs valuation plus the players reluctance to push for a move has ensured no progress has been made.

With interest cooling down after the Gunners failed to meet Napoli’s valuation , Victor Osihmen’s four goal haul on international duty again showed why Napoli will not let their prized asset go without commiserate economic returns.

Arteta’s side are in search of a new strikers this summer, with the former Lille forward, Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus and Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca topping the list of targets.

According to reports, Victor Osimhen’s agent was in London for talks with Arsenal about a potential transfer last week with Napoli’s valuation of the 23-year-old forward the major obstacle. Mikel Arteta has again asked the club to push through the deal for Victor Osihmen who he thinks will fit into his plans for the club next season.
