Arsenal’s Transfer Plans Delayed as Alternative to Victor Osimhen Is Too Expensive
Arsenal will not be able to sign their top target this January due to a high asking price.
The Gunners were hoping to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle, but the club has set a huge £150 million price tag for the 25-year-old striker. According to The Daily Mail, this price is too much for Arsenal, who are urgently looking for a top-class striker.
Isak has been in great form, winning the Premier League Player of the Month award in December. He scored eight goals and made two assists in six matches. His latest goal came in a 2-0 win for Newcastle over Arsenal in the League Cup semifinals.
Although Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta is a fan of Isak, it looks like the Swedish striker will stay at Newcastle for now. The Magpies are also looking to offer him a new contract, though talks have slowed down, with his current deal running until 2028.
