Arteta frustrated by Arsenal’s loss to Newcastle
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta voiced his disappointment following his team’s 1-0 loss to Newcastle United at St James’ Park, marking a difficult stretch with only one point from their last three games.
A first-half goal from Alexander Isak sealed Arsenal’s fate, as they struggled to gain momentum, managing just one shot on target despite dominating possession.
Arteta openly expressed his frustration with the lack of solutions on the pitch. “We didn’t find enough answers to a lot of the questions and situations that you have to resolve better,” Arteta told TNT Sports. “So I’m very frustrated.”
Despite his disappointment, Arteta remained focused on motivating his players for upcoming high-stakes fixtures against Inter Milan and Chelsea. “It’s time to do it on the pitch. We can say whatever we want, but probably we’re not going to find the right words today because after losing a game, you are hurt. But we have to show it on the pitch on Wednesday night,” he asserted.
As Arsenal gears up for a challenging schedule, Arteta’s emphasis is clear: the response must come on the field, and soon.
