Aryna Sabalenka wins back-to-back Brisbane Titles
Aryna Sabalenka defended her Brisbane International title with a 6–4, 6–3 win over Marta Kostyuk in the final, claiming the trophy for the second straight year.
Sabalenka controlled the week from start to finish, not dropping more than four games in any set. The win gives her 10 straight victories in Brisbane and continues a remarkable run in Australia, where she has now won 38 of her last 40 matches since the start of 2023.
After the match, Sabalenka praised her opponent and her team.
First, I want to congratulate Marta and her team on an incredible start to the season. I wish you all the best. I hope we meet many more times in the finals to show great tennis.
The title is the 22nd of Sabalenka’s career and continues a trend in which she wins her first tournament of the season. She has now done so five times in the last eight years, including titles in Shenzhen, Abu Dhabi, Adelaide, and back-to-back wins in Brisbane.
During the trophy ceremony, Sabalenka also shared a light moment with the crowd, thanking her boyfriend and adding:
“Hopefully, soon I can call you something else.”
With her first title of the season secured, Sabalenka heads into the rest of the Australian swing with momentum once again.
