Asisat Oshoala bags assist as Bay FC fall to Washington

Africa Women’s Footballer of the year, Asisat Oshoala, played really well for Bay FC in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), bagging an assist in the loss too Washington.

Oshoala showed how good she is right from the start, causing a lot of trouble for Washington’s defense with her speed and tricky dribbling as she sought to help Bay FC make it two wins in two games, but it was not to be as it ended in a 2-1 defeat.

Oshoala did a great job early in the game when she did a swerved the opposition defence before passing the ball to her teammate Dorian Bailey, who scored Bay’s first goal in the 11th minute.

She almost scored herself soon after, but her shot hit the goalpost.

Despite the outcome, Oshoala was the best player, making lots of chances for her team to score and helping with important passes. But it wasn’t enough to win as Washington scored to tie the game in the 23rd minute and then got another goal to win in the last minutes.

Even though Bay didn’t win, Oshoala showed why she’s one of the best players in the NWSL. Coach Albertin Montoya will count on her a lot as Bay tries to do well in their first season in the league.

In her first two games for Bay FC after moving from Barcelona, Asisat Oshoala has scored one goal and helped with another one. So, she’s expected to have a big impact on the team’s season.
