Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala is on the verge of making history as she competes for FIFA’s newly introduced ‘Marta Award.’

The Marta Award, named after Brazilian football legend Marta, recognises the best goal in women’s football. It is the female equivalent of the Puskás Award, which celebrates outstanding goals in men’s football.

This award will honour the finest goals scored between August 21, 2023, and August 10, 2024, with the winner to be announced in January 2025.
