Asisat Oshoala scores as Bay FC beats Racing Louisville in NWSL
Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala delivered another outstanding performance as she led Bay FC to a 1-0 victory over Racing Louisville in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
The Nigerian forward, known for her crucial contributions, scored the match-winning goal in the 75th minute to secure three important points for her team.
Oshoala’s goal was her fourth of the season, further solidifying her position as a key player for Bay FC. In a tightly contested match at PayPal Park, Oshoala found the back of the net after Penelope Hocking’s attempt was blocked. Oshoala pounced on the loose ball and calmly slotted it inside the left post.
This victory gives Bay FC a stronger hold on their playoff position, moving them up to sixth place in the NWSL standings with 24 points. Oshoala has been instrumental in the team’s success, with three of her four goals this season directly contributing to match victories.
Oshoala’s consistency against Racing Louisville has also been remarkable, as this marks her second goal in two encounters with them this year. Bay FC will now turn their attention to their next fixture, an away game against North Carolina Courage at WakeMed Soccer Park on September 13.
