Aston Villa beat Arsenal 3-0 to join clubs with most PL wins at Emirates Stadium
Aston Villa have joined an exclusive list of clubs with most win at the Emirate Stadium after securing a 3-0 win against Arsenal on Sunday.
While Ollie Watkins grabbed the headlines for scoring two goals in the game as Aston Villa secured an easy 3-0 win against Arsenal, the likes Ross Barkley and Jack Grealish played huge roles.
Villa took the lead when Arsenal defender Bukayo Saka accidentally slid the ball into his own net, before Watkins made the result certain in the second half.
The striker finished off a fine team move when he headed in from close range, and then fired an angled shot through the legs of Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno a few minutes later.
It was Arsenal’s second consecutive home league defeat of the season following a 1-0 loss to Leicester at the Emirates last month.
The win puts Aston Villa on the list of clubs with the most Premier League wins at the Emirates Stadium alongside Manchester United (4), Manchester City (4), Aston Villa (4), only Chelsea have more wins (5).
