Aston Villa Make Enquiry for Super Eagles Midfielder Onyedika

Aston Villa have reportedly made an enquiry about Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika after their player Boubacar Kamara suffered a serious injury.
The Premier League club are looking for cover in midfield and are exploring options to strengthen their squad during a key period of the season.
Onyedika, who plays for Belgian side Club Brugge, has been linked with a move away from the club during the winter transfer window. Aston Villa’s enquiry shows their interest in the 24-year-old, who can add depth and flexibility to their midfield.
However, Turkish club Galatasaray are also pushing hard to sign Onyedika and are believed to be leading the race for his signature.
Onyedika has been a regular performer for Club Brugge and has impressed with his displays at both club and international level.
At the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, he featured in five matches for Nigeria and scored two goals. His strong defensive work, passing ability and eye for goal have made him a target for several European clubs.
A decision on his future is expected as the transfer window progresses.
