Atalanta not under pressure to sell Ademola Lookman and other stars
Atalanta’s director has made it clear that the club is not under any pressure to sell its key players, including Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman, despite growing interest from top European clubs.
This statement comes as the January transfer window draws near, with clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool reportedly eyeing some of Atalanta’s standout performers.
Tony D’Amico, Atalanta’s football director, emphasised that the Serie A leaders are determined to keep their squad intact until at least the summer of 2025, even as speculation continues to mount.
Interest in Lookman
Ademola Lookman, recently crowned CAF Player of the Year, has attracted significant attention following his impressive performances this season. The Nigerian international played a crucial role in helping Atalanta secure a 1-1 draw against Lazio in their final match of 2024.
