Atalanta vs Milan Recap: Lookman scores late winner to take La Dea to the top

Ademola Lookman once again showed he is Atalanta’s key player by scoring a dramatic late goal to give his team a 2-1 victory over AC Milan on Friday night.

Lookman’s goal not only secured the win and three points but also extended Atalanta’s unbeaten run to 13 matches across all competitions, including nine straight wins.

The game started with Charles De Ketelaere putting Atalanta ahead in the 12th minute with a strong header against his former club. But Milan quickly responded, and 10 minutes later, Álvaro Morata scored with help from Rafael Leao.

Lookman had a quiet first half and early second half, but he was still a constant threat. He came close to scoring twice, testing the Milan goalkeeper, but couldn’t finish from tight angles.

With just three minutes left in the game, Lookman took advantage of Milan’s defensive mistake after a corner. He scored a beautiful header to seal the win for Atalanta.

This victory moved Atalanta to the top of the Serie A standings, pushing Napoli down to second place, although they still have a game in hand.

Lookman’s goal took his season tally to eight goals and four assists in just 12 matches. The win was even more impressive as Atalanta played without their suspended coach Gian Piero Gasperini but still managed to perform well.

With this result, Atalanta is proving to be a serious contender for the league title this season
