Atletico Madrid Agree €40m Deal for Ademola Lookman

Atletico Madrid have reached a verbal agreement to sign Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman in a deal valued at €40 million, according to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The Spanish club beat off competition from Fenerbahce to secure the Nigerian international, who has agreed to Atletico’s proposal.

Atletico head coach Diego Simeone is said to have played a key role in convincing the 28-year-old to move to the Wanda Metropolitano during the winter transfer window.

Lookman, who scored three goals and recorded four assists at AFCON 2025, is expected to boost Atletico Madrid’s attacking options.
