AWCONQualifiers: Mfon Akpan and three other Nigerian Referees get CAF appointment
CAF has appointed four Nigerian Referees for the Second leg of the African Women’s cup of Nations qualifiers between Burkina Faso and Guinea Bissau.
Patience Ndidi Madu will be the center referee to be assisted by compatriots Mimisen Iyorhe and Mfon Akpan with Alaba Olufunmilayo as the Fourth Official. The Nigerian quartet will be assessed by Oulere Daloba of Guinea.
Assa Soumare of Mali will be the Match commissioner while Benin Rebublic’s Sylvestre Parfait will ensure strict adherence to all COVID-19 protocols in his capacity as the COVID-19 Officer.
The Nigerian Referees have since arrived Burkina Faso to familiarize with the environment ahead of the match which will be played at the Porto-Novo-Stade Charles de Gaulle on Wednesday 23rd February 2022 by 5pm.
