Bam Adebayo stars as Miami Heat beat Dallas Mavericks
Bam Adebayo continues to show he is ready for a big leap as the American-born of Nigerian descent center put in a shift in Miami Heat 113-101 win over Dallas Mavericks on Friday.
Deputising for injured Hassan Whiteside, the 14th overall pick in the 2017 draft showed why he was selected in the first round.
Bam Adebayo who has started in 10 of Heat last games because of Whiteside’s injury had 14 points from 6-of-9 shootings, 5 assists, 8 rebounds and +/- of +28 the highest by any player in the game.
He was only on the court for just 38 minutes but his presence was felt the team’s 28 points while he was in a testament to his impact on the night.
Bam Adebayo now Miami Heat starting center in place of injured Hassan Whiteside has registered an average of 6.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and assists 0.6 so far this season.
In the 22 times he has played for Miami Heat this season either as a starter of from the bench, Bam Adebayo has recorded two double-double.
