Barcelona have confirmed that Ronald Araujo suffered a thigh injury in the 2-1 win over Real Madrid on Sunday.
The Uruguayan defender, who scored an own goal in the encounter has been one of the best players for the club this season.
Barcelona confirmed the injury in a statement on Monday afternoon.
“Ronald Araujo has strained an adductor muscle in his left thigh, and he will not be able to play until the injury has healed,” the Catalan club said in a statement.
Barcelona moved 12 points clear of Real Madrid in the La Liga title race to inch closer to a first title since 2019.
Araujo has made 22 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona this season.
