Bashir Usman joins NPFL champions Rangers International
Former Niger Tornadoes attacking winger, Bashir Usman, has signed a two-year deal with reigning Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, Rangers International.
Usman, who scored 12 goals in the concluded season, signed the contract on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at the club’s corporate office after agreeing on all terms.
Speaking after the contract signing, Usman expressed his excitement, saying, “It’s a great deal for me to find myself in Enugu to contribute my quota towards helping Rangers do well in the league and on the continent. I strongly believe that with the quality players I met on the ground, we shall make our fans and supporters happy at the end of the season.”
Under the leadership of double award-winning coach of the year, Fidelis Ilechukwu, Rangers International has already begun preparations to defend their NPFL title and make a strong showing in the Total Energies CAF Champions League 2024/2025.
The club has made several quality recruitments, including Tekena Gerando, Evans Ogbonda, Hillary Ekawu, Ernest Governor, Anayor Ogbonna, Lucky Abdullahi, Macben Otika, Ekeson Okorie, Somtochukwu Nwobodo, Chimobi Igwilo, and Onyekachi Okafor.
