First Scottish Cup triumph since 2009
Calvin Bassey, Leon Balogun and Joe Aribo were involved as Rangers win the Scottish Cup few days after their Europa League heartache.
The Super Eagles trio were all in action as the Rangers defeated Hearts 2-0 after extra time at the Hampden Park to claim the 2021/2022 Scottish Cup.
Joe Aribo was deployed in the false nine role again and did a good job but was unable to find the back of the net. Leon Balogun and Calvin Bassey played in the back four.
Leon Balogun played on the left side of the defense while Calvin Bassey played as the left-back, both players were on the pitch for the entire 120 minutes.
Joe Aribo was on for 105 minutes before he was pulled out as well.
The goals were scored by Ryan Jack and Ryan Kent in the 94th and 97th minutes respectively.
The Scottish Cup victory is Rangers’first since 2009 and the victory came three days after their 5-4 loss to Frankfurt in the Europa League final.
