Bayelsa Queens Flamingos stars to return for TP Mazembe CAFWCL clash
Edidiong Etim, and Mary Aderemi would face the Congo DR. champions
Bayelsa Queens will have two of their players back for their CAF Women’s Champions League second Group B game against TP Mazambe women at the Grand Stade de Marrakech on Thursday, reports SportsRation.
The Nigerian champions were beaten 2-1 in their first game at the CAF Women’s Champions League by the South African and African champions, Mamelodi Sundowns Women.
The Prosperity Girls left it too late against the experienced Sundowns who were only more clinical and composed on the day.
But they will have two of their players back, Edidiong Etim, and Mary Aderemi who were important pieces for the Flamingos as they claimed the Bronze medal at the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Bayelsa Queens at times looked unsure of what to do in the attack, constantly rushing their decisions in the final third and in front of the goal.
The two midfielders who started the game against Sundowns also looked very tired as the game went on until the late substitutions which impacted positively on the team.
With the return of Edidiong Etim in the attack, Bayelsa Queens will definitely have flair, goals, and decisiveness in their attack.
Mary Aderemi will also add calmness, composure, and an option to the midfield as they prepare for their next two must-win games against TP Mazembe on Thursday and Wadi Degla (Egypt) on Sunday.
