Bayelsa United begins preparations for 2024/2025 NPFL season

Bayelsa United have resumed training at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa ahead of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The team kicked off their preparations on Monday morning, with players returning under the guidance of their technical crew after a brief holiday.

The team will spend the next few days training in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. Following this initial phase, Bayelsa United will head to Omoku, Rivers State, for an intensive pre-season camp. This close-door training session aims to fine-tune their strategies and build team cohesion before the season starts.

Last season, the Prosperity Boys narrowly avoided relegation, securing their NPFL status with a crucial 0-2 away victory against Bendel Insurance in Benin on the final day. The team hopes to build on this dramatic escape and improve their performance in the upcoming season.

The club’s management and coaching staff are determined to avoid a repeat of the previous season’s struggles. Intensive training and strategic planning during the pre-season camp are expected to enhance the team’s performance and ensure a stronger showing in the 2024/2025 NPFL season.

Already, Flying Eagles head coach, Ladan Bosso has been unveiled as the teams new head coach.
