Bayern Munich Confirm Cancelo Signing From Man City
Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Joan Cancelo on loan from Manchester City until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old joins the Bavarians with the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season for
£61.5m.
Cancelo said the decision to leave Manchester City was purely based on his inability to get a regular playing time in recent weeks.

“There was speculation that my relationship with Pep [Guardiola] was not the best but the fact is I wanted to play more,” Cancelo added.
“I wanted to start this new adventure as soon as possible,” he said.
“I enjoyed my time at City and I am still under contract with the club so I don’t see it as a final departure.
“I will now focus only on my five months and see what happens then.”
Cancelo won two Premier League titles with Manchester City, he was named in the PFA team of the year twice.
The Portuguese defender is ready to start his new journey in Munich.

“Bayern is a great club, one of the best in the world,” the player added.
“I know this team lives for title and it’s enormous motivation for me to now play alongside these extraordinary players in a team.
“I’m also driven by the hunger for success. I’ll give my best for Bayern.”
Cancelo is expected to make his Bayern Munich debut against Wolfsburg on Sunday.
