Benin Republic to Face Nigeria’s Super Falcons in 2026 WAFCON Qualifier Final

Benin Republic will square off against Nigeria’s Super Falcons in the final round of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Amazons secured their place in the upcoming fixture after defeating Sierra Leone 5-2 on aggregate in the first round. Benin triumphed 2-1 at home in the first leg before sealing their progress with a 3-1 victory in the return match.

The qualifiers are scheduled for October 20-28, 2025. The first leg will be hosted by Benin, while Nigeria will welcome Benin for the second leg.

The victorious team in this final round will secure a spot in the 2026 WAFCON. The Super Falcons, Nigeria’s national women’s team, are the most successful squad in the competition’s history, with nine titles to their name.
