Blessed Stars Academy product Godwin Udosen joins Romanian club Dinamo Bucharest
Blessed Stars Football Academy have announced the transfer of their player, Godwin Udosen, to Romanian club Dinamo Bucharest, SportsRation reports.
In a social media post, Blessed Stars Academy confirmed the move, which was facilitated in partnership with Lagos-based Magic Stars Academy. The Academy expressed their excitement and wished Udosen success in his new journey.
“We are delighted to announce that our very own Godwin Udosen has officially signed his first professional contract with FC Dinamo București,” Blessed Stars Academy shared. “Big thanks to our partners at Magic Stars! Following his transfer, Nigerian youngster Godwin Udosen is expected to strengthen Dinamo Bucharest’s midfield as he begins his professional career. The Romanian club, known for its strong history and success in domestic football, was quick to snap up Udosen during the summer transfer window, recognizing his potential.
Dinamo Bucharest, founded in 1948, is one of Romania’s most successful football teams, having won 18 Liga I titles, 13 Cupa României, two Supercupa României, and one Cupa Ligii. The club has a rich tradition of nurturing young talent, with a youth center that organizes training for players between the ages of 9 and 18.
Reacting to the transfer, Moses Ukpong, General Manager of Blessed Stars Football Academy, expressed his gratitude to Magic Stars for their partnership, which paved the way for Udosen’s move to Dinamo Bucharest. “This is a great foundation for the talented Godwin Udosen, and we hope he will make a significant impact in Romania,” Ukpong said.
