Blessing Eleke scores 10th league in Luzern’s 3-1 win against Thun
Blessing Eleke scores his 10th league goal of the season as Luzern beat Thun 3-1 in a Swiss Super League game played at the Swissporarena on Saturday.
The 23-year-old Nigerian overcame his three-game goal drought to help his side secure the maximum points as the race for the Europa League hots up.
An own goal by Roy Gelmi put his Luzern in front, Pascal Schurpf added the second to give Blessing Eleke’s team a two goals lead at half time.
Few minutes after restart, Marvin Spielmann halved his Thun’s deficit but Blessing Eleke scored his sides third goal to increase back to two.
The win put Luzern in 4th position with 40 points after 31 games, while Thun with the same number of points are occupying the 3rd spot because of their superior goal difference.
Blessing Eleke has scored 10 league goals and assisted 3 in 25 games he has played in.
