Bologna Targets Nigerian Talent Ebenezer Akinsanmiro for Summer Move
Bologna is interested in signing Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, who is currently playing on loan at Serie B team Sampdoria from Inter Milan.
The 20-year-old has impressed during his loan at Sampdoria, playing 23 matches and scoring once. Known for his strong skills and versatility, Akinsanmiro has also attracted attention from other clubs.
Bologna is looking to add young talent to their squad and has already contacted Inter Milan, who still own Akinsanmiro’s contract. However, Inter prefers that Akinsanmiro finishes his loan at Sampdoria, which will end in June 2025.
Sampdoria wants to keep him and has an option to buy him. Akinsanmiro joined Inter Milan in January 2023 from Remo Stars in Nigeria. He quickly impressed in the youth team and was called up to the first team, making his Serie A debut in February 2024 and winning a Scudetto later that year.
Bologna’s interest in Akinsanmiro fits their plan to sign young players with potential. For now, Akinsanmiro is focused on helping Sampdoria get promoted, but Bologna may take advantage of the situation if Inter revisits the deal in the summer.
