Boniface wins fourth Bundelisga Rookie of the month award
Nigerian striker, Victor Boniface has won the German Bundelisga, Rookie of the month award for the fourth time in a row after clinching the prize in November 2023.
Boniface has had a fantastic start to life with Bayer Leverkusen whom he joined in the summer from Belgian Jupiler League side Royale Union SG.
The 22-year-old has taken the German top-flight league by storm, scoring eight goals and assisting five other in 13 appearances for Die Werkself.
This performance have been key to Bayer Leverkusen’s unbeaten run in all competitions this season so far this season.
For his fantastic outings, Boniface was crowned the rookie of month for August, September, October and has now added a fourth to further improve his rating as the best young player in the Bundesliga.
As announced on Friday, December 8, 2023, Boniface saw off competition from Xavi Simons and Merlin Rohl to claim a record fourth consecutive time.
Bayer Leverkusen have never won the German Bundesliga title but have had course to dream with the addition of Boniface who has scored 14 times in all competitions already this season.
Die Werkself currently sit at the top of the Bundesliga, three points clear of Bayern Munich.
