BREAKING: Okagbare suspended from Tokyo 2020 over failed drug test

Blessing Okagbare whom Nigerians are hoping would win a medal at the ongoing 2020 Olympics in Tokyo has been suspended.

Okagbare who is participating in her 4th Olympics was the fastest in her heat as she continued her search for an Olympics medal.

But her dreams may have been dashed after the Nigerian was suspended from the games for testing positive to a banned substance.

According to the statement released by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU), she tested positive for human growth hormone, a prohibited non-specified substance and will no longer participate in the semifinals of the women’s 100m.

She is the first person to be caught with a banned substance at the games after a test taken on July 19th revealed that an out-of-competition sample collected from her on July 19 tested positive for HGH.
