Bright Osayi-Samuel in trouble as TFF set panel to investigate Trabzonspor-Fenerbache post-match brawl

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has announced that Super Eagles wingback Bright Osayi-Samuel, along with two other Fenerbahce players, will face disciplinary action for their involvement in a post-match brawl with Trabzonspor fans.

The incident occurred on March 17th after Fenerbahce secured a 3-2 victory against Trabzonspor in a heated Super Lig match. Following the final whistle, Trabzonspor supporters stormed the pitch, targeting Fenerbahce players and staff for celebrating their win.

The TFF has charged 26-year-old Bright Osayi-Samuel for his role in the altercation, along with Turkish goalkeeper İrfan Can Eğribayat and Fenerbahce defender Jayden Oosterwolde, citing “unsportsmanlike behavior.”

A disciplinary panel will be convened by the TFF to determine the extent of punishment for the players involved. Additionally, potential sanctions for Trabzonspor as a club will also be considered during the hearing.

The announcement of disciplinary action comes amidst ongoing scrutiny and criticism following the altercation, with Osayi-Samuel facing potential sanctions that could impact his future in Turkish football.
