Bronny James reacts sets personal record as Lakers fall to Nuggets

Bronny James played for sixteen minutes, his most in the NBA as Los Angeles Lakers suffered another defeat on Friday night, losing 131-126 to the Denver Nuggets in Colorado.

Bronny James, son of NBA star LeBron James, played 16 minutes in the game. He scored five points, grabbed two rebounds, and made one steal. However, he struggled with his shooting, hitting just one of his five attempts from three-point range.

The Lakers came into the game on a three-match losing run and were dealing with several injuries. It was also their second game in two nights, which made things even harder.

Bronny James Gets More Playing Time

Bronny was back in the Lakers’ main squad after spending time with the South Bay Lakers in the G League, where he had been performing well. He has averaged 20.6 points, 5.2 assists, and 4.9 rebounds per game in the G League this season.

After the game, Bronny said he was feeling positive about his progress. “Putting in work behind the scenes has been very good for me,” he said. “It’s been going well.”

Lakers Missing Key Players

The Lakers were without their star player LeBron James, who is recovering from a groin injury picked up against the Boston Celtics last Saturday. They were also missing Luka Doncic, who had scored 45 points the night before against the Milwaukee Bucks but was rested due to the tight schedule.

Other injured players included Rui Hachimura, Dorian Finney-Smith, Jaxson Hayes, Gabe Vincent, and Maxi Kleber. Despite this, head coach JJ Redick said before the game that all ten available players would get time on the court.

Even with so many players missing, the Lakers fought hard against the team ranked second in the Western Conference but still couldn’t get the win.
