Brown Ideye: Enyimba Must Beat Zamalek to Stay in CAF Confederation Cup

Enyimba striker Brown Ideye has emphasized the importance of defeating Egypt’s Zamalek in their final group-stage match to keep their CAF Confederation Cup hopes alive.

Enyimba’s chances of advancing took a hit after a disappointing draw against Al Masry in the fifth round, leaving them in a must-win situation for their last group game in Cairo next weekend.

“It’s a must-win match for us,” Ideye stated.
“Zamalek are a strong team, but we are determined to secure the maximum points. They’ve already qualified for the next round and might rest some key players.”

The striker also shared the team’s motivation, adding, “The chairman, Nwankwo Kanu, has spoken to us, and I believe it’s still possible to win this match.”

Enyimba will need a strong performance to overcome Zamalek and keep their campaign alive.
