Lakers lose to Thunder, Celtics make it two straight wins
Number one pick of the 2021 draft class, Cade Cunningham, finally showed his worth as he recorded a double-double in the Detroit Pistons’ 109-98 defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA.
Cade Cunningham, who missed several games at the beginning of the season due to injury, had failed to really show Pistons fans what they missed during his time out injured as he tallied two and six points in his first two games for the team.
Against the Philadelphia 76ers, however, Cunningham showed the Pistons faithful that they could be excited by his presence as he contributed 18 points, 10 rebounds and four assists for the Pistons despite ending up on the losing side.
Seth Curry led the scoring for the Philadelphia 76ers with 23 points, and Tyrese Maxey tallied 20 points for the 76ers as they picked up another win to put their record for the season at 7-2.
Los Angeles Lakers blew a 19 point lead in the second quarter to lose 107-104 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the scoring for the Thunder with 28 points, three rebounds and six assists as he led the Thunder to a second win of the season.
Boston Celtics picked up a second win on the bounce as they defeated Miami Heat 95-78 following a massive team effort in which seven players reached double figures for points. Jaylen Brown led the scoring with 17 points, with Dennis Schroder adding 14. Jayson Tatum also had 10 points and eight rebounds, and Al Horford had 10 points and seven rebounds for the Celtics, who improved to 4-5 for the season.

Devin Booker led the scoring for the Western Conference champions as he contributed 27 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. DeAndre Ayton added a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds as the Suns condemned the Rockets to a seventh defeat in eight matches this season.
Utah Jazz picked up their seventh win of the season with a 116-98 win over the Atlanta Hawks. With Donovan Mitchell missing from the action, Jordan Clarkson stepped up from the bench with an impressive tally of 30 points, four rebounds and three assists to lead the scoring for the Jazz.
