CAF CC: Plateau United, Rivers United FC dare Libyan opponents today
Nigerian clubs Plateau United FC and Rivers United FC will today Wednesday November 2, 2022 take on Libyan opponents in the CAF Confederation Cup today.
Al Akhder of Libya is Plateau United FC’s opponent at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja in the CAF Confederation Cup playoff round first-leg tie by 4pm.
At the same time, NPFL Champions Rivers United FC will host El Nasr of Libya at the Adokieye Amasiamaka stadium Port Harcourt.
Both Nigerian clubs dropped to the CAF Confederation Cup after aggregate loss to Esperance of Tunisia and Wydad Casablanca respectively in the CAF Champions League.
Plateau United FC and Rivers United FC will hope to keep Nigeria’s flag in the continent this season by defying their respective Libyan odds in the playoff round.
The second leg of both games will hold on November 9, 2022 with the aggregate winner progressing to the Group stage of this seasons CAF Confederation Cup.
