CAF dismisses Senegal’s claims, clears Guinea for Eaglets
The clash between Nigeria U17 team the Golden Eaglets and their Guinean U17 counterparts will take place as scheduled after The Confederation of African Football dismissed Senegal’s claims.
Reports making the round suggest that the semifinal clash between Nigeria U17 and Guinea U17 will be forfeited after Senegal reported Guinea for alleged age-cheating at the U17 AFCON in Tanzania.
But the complaint has been dismissed by CAF and Guinea now cleared to play against Nigeria in tomorrow’s second semifinal game.
The match will be played at 2 pm Nigerian time. The Golden Eaglets must be Golden in front of goal to book a place in the final against the winners of the other semi final between Angola and Cameroon.
A win for Nigeria against Guinea will take Manu Garba boys closer to winning the U17 AFCON title for the third time.
