CAF names Golden Eaglets captain Samson Tijani Man of Match vs Angola

Golden Eaglets captain Samson Okikiola Tijani has been named the man of the match of the game between Nigeria and Angola at the ongoing AFCON U 17 in Tanzania.

The industrious midfielder helped Nigeria beat Angola 1-0 in their second game to book their place in the competition’s last four and FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil.

Goalkeeper Sunday Stephen, attackers Mayowa David Abayomi, Wisdom Ubani all played a very good game today but Samson Tijani was a ruler taller.

For his control and organisation of his teammates; his well-timed tackles and all round work ethics, CAF named Samson Tijani as the Man of the match of the game.

It is the second Man of the Match award for Nigerian players in just their second gamr after Akinkunmi Amoo, was named Man of the Match against Tanzania on the opening day of action.
