CAF U23 AFCON: Olympic Eagles lose to Cote D’Ivoire

Cup holders Nigeria lost their opening game of the Group B U-23 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday at the Al Salam stadium.

The Olympic Eagles were beaten 1-0 by Cote D’Ivoire’s Les Elephants.
Olisa dah fouled Youssouf Dao inside the vital area and got a ref card.

However, it was Silas Gnaka’s lone strike that gave the Ivorians victory against Nigeria.

The Olympic Eagles face Zambia on Tuesday November 12 in their second group game.
