CAFCC: Enyimba Edge Closer, Advantage Rangers

Nigeria’s representative in the CAF Confederations Cup, Enyimba FC and Rangers Intl on Sunday put up a good showing in their first leg preliminary round qualifier as they look forward to reaching the group stage of CAF second tier club competition.

Enyimba defeated TS Galasy 2-0 in Aba with goals from Victor Mbaoma when raced to meet a sublime cross by Bashir and slotted home and Usule, who scored after Galaxy’s goalkeeper parried Abalogu’s cross to give the Aba Millionaires a two goal advantage head into the 2nd leg??

However, at the Kégué Stadium, Mani Sapol shot ASC Kara of Togo ahead in the 29th minute. But Rangers responded swiftly with an equalizer three minutes later.

Rangers held on gamely till a minute into the added time when Nane Richard got ASC Kara the winning goal.

Rangers have the return leg in Enugu to overturn the defeat.

The second leg of the encounter is scheduled for Nov 3rd 2019
