Cardi B Speaks out amid Maduka Okoye dating Rumours

American rapper Cardi B has addressed the intense public attention surrounding her personal life amid ongoing speculation linking her to Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye.

The Grammy-winning artist made the remarks in a series of Instagram Stories days after she and the Udinese goalkeeper were spotted dining together in Venice, Italy, further fueling rumours of a relationship.

Comparing her experience to that of pop icon Britney Spears, Cardi B said she faces an unusual level of scrutiny.

“No cap, I’m really hip hop’s Britney Spears. I got all the tea on these celebrities… I know who’s with who and what’s doing what. But guess what? Nobody reports on it. You want to know why? Because nobody cares.”

She added that almost everything she does quickly becomes a topic of discussion online.

“But when it comes to me… I can’t even… do anything without people talking about it. This is crazy.”

Despite the attention, Cardi B said she has accepted that public scrutiny comes with fame.

“You’ve got to take the good with the bad. It is what it is. People pay for this type of talk.”

The comments come after Cardi B and Okoye were photographed together at a restaurant in Venice with a group of friends. The pair had also been seen seated together at the Jean Paul Gaultier Fall/Winter 2026 Haute Couture Show during Paris Fashion Week.

Neither Cardi B nor Okoye has publicly confirmed that they are in a relationship.
