Celta Vigo stun Real Madrid 2–0 at the Bernabéu

Real Madrid were hit with an unexpected and painful defeat as Celta Vigo walked out of the Santiago Bernabéu with a 2–0 win. It was one of the biggest surprises of the La Liga season and a night that Madrid supporters will want to forget quickly.

Williot Swedberg was the hero of the night for Celta Vigo. The young Swedish forward scored both goals and looked confident from start to finish. His energy gave Celta belief while Madrid looked increasingly unsettled.

The match fell apart for Real Madrid in the second half. Fran García collected two yellow cards and was sent off, which immediately changed the tone of the game. Álvaro Carreras got a red card in the final minutes because he talked back to the referee in a way the referee considered disrespectful. Finishing with nine players left, Madrid exposed, and Celta took advantage of it.

This defeat puts pressure on Real Madrid in the title race and adds tension ahead of their upcoming Champions League fixtures. Celta Vigo, on the other hand, carries momentum and a valuable sense of belief into the next round of matches.
