Celtic thrash Dundee United to win fourth straight Scottish Premiership title
Celtic crushed Dundee United 5-0 on Saturday to secure their fourth Scottish Premiership title in a row, SportsRation reports.
Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah each scored twice after an own-goal from Ryan Strain gave Celtic the early lead.
This win marks Celtic’s 13th league title in the past 14 seasons.
With four matches left, Celtic are now 18 points ahead of second-placed Rangers, who still have five games to play.
The Glasgow side have now won 21 of the last 26 domestic trophies, as Brendan Rodgers continues to dominate Scottish football with his team.
Celtic only needed a draw against Dundee United to seal the title but chose to celebrate in style with a big win.
Rodgers has now won 11 major trophies as Celtic manager.
Celtic are also on track for their sixth domestic treble in nine seasons and Rodgers’ third, if they can beat Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup final in May.
