Austin Eguavoen, the Technical Director of the Nigeria Football Federation, has expressed confidence in the home-based Super Eagles’ ability to defeat Ghana’s Black Galaxies, according to BSNSports.com.ng.
Nigeria will host Ghana in the second leg of their 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier. The first leg, held at the Accra Sports Stadium, ended in a 0-0 draw, making the upcoming match crucial for both teams.
Speaking on Kennis FM, Eguavoen, a former Super Eagles defender, showed full support for the Nigerian team.
“I am 100% sure that this time we will turn things around,” he said. “I am confident we will qualify for CHAN.
“The boys are ready and determined to deliver as they promised. All we need now is a bit of luck.”
The home-based Eagles will look to make the most of their home advantage as they aim to secure a spot in the CHAN 2024 tournament.
