CHAN Qualifiers: Nigeria’s Rabiu Ali confident ahead of crucial clash against Ghana
Kano Pillars midfielder Rabiu Ali has expressed confidence in Nigeria’s chances of beating Ghana and securing a spot in the 2024 CHAN tournament.
The 44-year-old veteran, who is part of the squad preparing for the second-leg match against the Black Galaxies this weekend in Uyo, hopes to make his third appearance at the tournament if the team qualifies.
Speaking ahead of the match, Ali said, “This will be my third time in the tournament finals if we qualify. Of course, I’m praying for us to beat Ghana on Saturday.”
He emphasised the team’s determination and quality, adding, “The ticket is the first objective. With the quality of players in this team, as you’ve seen in training, I believe we can beat Ghana and secure qualification.”
The first leg in Accra ended in a goalless draw, and Ali is expected to play a key role in helping the Super Eagles B achieve victory in the return leg.
