Chelle Confirms Super Eagles Have No Injury Concerns Ahead of Zimbabwe Clash

Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has confirmed that his squad is fully fit ahead of Tuesday’s crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe in Uyo.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Chelle assured that there are no injury concerns in the team as they prepare for their second game under his management.

“All the players are ready,” Chelle said when asked about any possible injuries. “We had a good training session yesterday, and we will finalise our preparations this evening.”

Nigeria heads into the match on the back of a 2-0 victory over Rwanda in Kigali, a result that boosted their qualification hopes and moved them to fourth place in Group C with six points.

Chelle, aiming for back-to-back wins, acknowledged that Zimbabwe will be a tough opponent but emphasised that his team remains focused.

“It won’t be easy. Zimbabwe are a good team, and we need to focus on ourselves,” he added.

With a fully fit squad, the Super Eagles will be looking to secure another important victory as they continue their push for a World Cup spot.
