Chelsea Appoint Liam Rosenior as New Manager on Six-Year Deal

Chelsea have confirmed the appointment of Liam Rosenior as their new manager on a six-year contract.
In a statement released by the club, Chelsea said the focus will “continue to be on player development” while stressing that the club’s “expectations and ambitions remain high.”
Rosenior expressed his delight after the announcement, describing the role as a dream opportunity.
“To be entrusted with this role means the world to me,” Rosenior said. “I will give everything to bring success to this club.”
The former manager also admitted the decision was emotional, adding:
“I will love this club for the rest of my life, but I cannot turn down Chelsea.”
Rosenior replaces Enzo Maresca, who left the club on New Year’s Day. He will be joined at Stamford Bridge by three members of his coaching staff: Khalifa Cissé, Ben Warner and Justin Walker.
According to Chelsea reporter Nizaar Kinsella, Rosenior’s first match in charge will be against Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup on Saturday.
Meanwhile, interim manager and Under-21 coach Calum McFarlane is expected to speak shortly following the change.
Chelsea fans will now be eager to see how Rosenior’s long-term vision and emphasis on development shape the club’s future.
