‘Chelsea Can Beat Dortmund’ – Potter Boasts
Chelsea coach Graham Potter is confident that his team can put their Premier League form behind them to beat Dortmund in the Champions League.
The Blues have struggled their last two Premier League games against Fulham and West Ham.
Potter believes Chelsea can beat Dortmund despite their recent poor form.
Potter said: “We can beat Dortmund but they are also a strong side with the capability to get a result as well. We have to understand that, go to Dortmund with humility, with respect, and try to get the result.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity. We have to see it that way. Obviously, it’s a tough match against a high-quality opponent. But at the same time, our team has got some good players.
“The players are confident. They are hard-working and respectful. They believe in themselves. They know it’s a game of football, you have to earn the right to win. We’ll go there with that approach.”
Dortmund have won their last six matches in all competitions.
Potter is expected to be able to choose from the new signings in January, with Badiashile expected to miss out because he wasn’t registered for the competition.
The likes of Enzo Fernandez, Mykhailo Mudryk and Joao Felix will be on parade for the Blues.
